Chellaram Diabetes Institute, a unit of Chellaram Foundation, was established in 2010 with the main objective of creating an IMPACT on the rising cases of Diabetes in India. This objective is sought to be achieved through the main pillars of Patient Care, Education, Awareness, Outreach and Research.

Operational since 2010, this state of the art diabetes care and multispecialty hospital in Pune has been consistently ranked among the best in India for providing diabetes care.

The mobile clinic based outreach program provides doorstep delivery of basic diabetes care services to the underprivileged rural population, by closely working with the community and public health system.

The thrust is on the development of bespoke educational courses, both classroom as well as online, for building the capacity of doctors and other healthcare professionals.

Studies are being conducted at “Chellaram Diabetes Research Centre” for diabetes research.

This is a unique bi-monthly English magazine that aims to empower patients with diabetes to take charge of their condition through awareness on a range of diabetes-related issues.

CDI publishes the flagship journal “Chronicle of Diabetes Research and Practice” The journal is an open access, peer reviewed, scholarly Journal dedicated to publish both clinical and basic science articles, with a specific objective of making a beneficial impact on the diagnosis and management of diabetes and related disorders.
